2012 City of El Lago Election Information
City Election
City positions up for election in May of 2012 are Council Positions 3, 4 and 5 currently held by Carolynn Stanley, Cody Taylor and Jeff Tave. To qualify as a candidate, you must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- A registered voter of the City of El Lago
- A resident of the City of El Lago for at least twelve (12) months preceding the election
- Continue residency in the City during the term of office
- Not hold more than one public elective office
- Cannot have been declared mentally incompetent; and
- Cannot have been convicted of a felony.
Interested parties can pick up candidate packets at City Hall starting January 16, 2012 and can file them February 4th through March 5th. A full election calendar will be published in the February 2012 issue of the La Ventana. |
