2011 Candles in the Park Celebration

This year's Candles in the Park Celebration was held at McNair Park and started with a very special event -- the groundbreaking ceremony for the new EL Lago City Hall and Community Center Complex! This facility will be magnificent when completed early next summer, so be sure to periodically stop by and see the construction progress.

The Ed White Satellite Singers provided wonderful musical entertainment for the evening's events. There are many people to thank for their hard work to make this year's event special: Mayor Brad Emel, City Secretary Ann Vernon, Court Administrator Brenda Klingle, members of the City Council, Ruth Tully and last but certainly not least, a very big thank you to the City of El Lago Maintenance crew of Felix Marquez and Luis Perez for their efforts with setting up the holiday lights, and to the Ed White Satellite Singers for their musical performance. Once again, thank you to the Seabrook Volunteer Fire Department for their efforts to deliver Santa and Mrs. Claus. A very special thank you to Santa and Mrs. Claus for taking time from their very busy schedule to visit with the children.

To those residents who provided the various treats and snacks -- another special thank you for taking the time to do so.
